Activity Instructions (Grades 2-3 or ESL):

1. Give each student a print-out. Instructions for printing are below.
2. Have each student go to the Little Explorers Picture Dictionary.
3. The student will use Little Explorers to answer the questions in the print-out. For example, if the question is about "kangaroo," the student should go to "K" in the dictionary (by clicking on the "K" at the top of the page) and read the entry on kangaroo.
4. This activity works well with small groups (2-3 students at each computer) competing against other groups in an online "scavenger hunt."
